Papa’s advice to us has always been “It is better to get the certificates and wait for a job, rather than not have the certificates and struggle to get one when an opportunity presents its self” This has been a constant reminder.

- Many years later, I couldn’t agree more. I have been blessed to have the good fortune to have made it this far. Most often, I have had to work for it with drive and determination to make my parents proud. For the longest time it was about my parents, never wanting to let them down. I have also come to the realization that not every child had the opportunity to have parents or guardians who instill hard work. More over, not every child has the opportunity to go to school. So in 2015, I started a small scholarship program with the main focus on education and health care awareness with the sole aim of giving children the opportunity to be children and experience childhood as such. My focus is on these small issues because I think that will be the best way to achieve any real impact.

- We also engage the commitment of parents and guardians of these children into the benefits of giving the children an environment that is suitable for growth. I am a believer in education, and I also believe in the school of thought that giving a child the right tools ensures sustainability and I am optimistic that given equal opportunities, every child can strive for greatness.

- My hope is that we can give each child an opportunity to be a child and enjoy the benefits of a normal childhood
